Your information
Privacy notice
Cheq Yourself provides research, record retrieval, chronology development, document organization and general evidence support. This notice explains the information involved when you explore this website or choose a next step.
1. Who to contact
For privacy questions or a request concerning your personal information, use our inquiry form and select “Privacy request”. Please start with a general description of your request. Do not send identity documents or confidential property records by ordinary email.
Before publication: confirm the full legal name and business address of the operator, the privacy contact responsible for requests, and the policy effective date.
2. Information in the inquiry form
The initial inquiry asks only for your name, email, province or territory, general issue category, whether an active deadline exists, a brief non-confidential description and your preferred next step. It also asks whether you face an ongoing land dispute, investigation, alleged claim, bylaw issue or complaint, and asks for consent to respond. It has no document-upload field.
Choosing “Send inquiry” submits your answers to our website’s inquiry service. When delivery is enabled, the service sends the inquiry to our private contact mailbox using an encrypted connection to our mail provider. We use the details to respond and assess the requested support. A success message appears only after the mail provider accepts the message; this does not guarantee inbox delivery or acceptance of an engagement.
The private preview shows when delivery is unavailable and does not claim that an inquiry was sent in that state. No inquiry is added to a marketing list. The website does not save form contents in browser storage; your browser may separately offer its own autofill features.
3. Keep the first conversation non-confidential
Do not include property addresses, title or parcel identifiers, financial information, identity numbers, confidential correspondence or attachments in this form. If records are needed later, the appropriate collection process and its privacy information must be provided separately. A public inquiry does not create a lawyer–client relationship or legal privilege.
4. Booking, payments and webinar registration
The booking link opens HoneyBook. The single-package payment link opens Stripe. The webinar links open land.cheqyourself.com, where separate registration, purchase and participant processes apply. Information entered on those destinations is handled through their own processes and applicable privacy notices. Review those notices before providing personal information.
This homepage does not embed a checkout or collect payment-card information. Clicking a link does not itself authorize Cheq Yourself to charge you.
5. Cookies and technical information
This preview includes no analytics, advertising pixels, third-party embeds or tracking cookies. Fonts and website images are served locally. Basic network information is necessary to deliver a webpage; a future hosting provider may keep request or security logs.
Before publication: confirm the hosting and email providers, logging practices, any analytics or cookies, processing locations and cross-border transfers. Update this notice to reflect the actual setup.
6. Retention and access
The inquiry service does not save the inquiry body in a website database or application logs. When sent, the message is retained by the receiving mailbox and its mail providers under their applicable practices. To limit abuse and duplicate submissions, the service temporarily holds protected fingerprints of requests and network addresses in server memory. Entries older than one hour are removed during subsequent request processing or when the service restarts. Use the inquiry form to ask about access, correction, consent choices, retention or deletion. Applicable requirements and any justified need to retain a record must be explained when responding.
Before publication: approve specific retention periods or criteria, the request-handling process and appropriate safeguards for each service used. Do not replace these details with an unverified promise.
7. Changes and concerns
The published notice should show its effective date and be updated when the way personal information is handled changes. Raise a concern using the inquiry form above. Applicable privacy rights remain available.
